Concord Museum, Be Thoreau:Observer, Gallery Talk Series

November 3, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

- Free with Admission

Explore Thoreau’s lifelong quest to be a better observer with Jennifer Ingram, Visitor Services Supervisor at Walden Pond State Reservation. Join Jennifer for a gallery talk in This Ever New Self: Thoreau and His Journal and her perspective on Thoreau as observer. Learn what Thoreau can teach us today about slowing down to really see the world around us.

Throughout 2017, Concord is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of writer and thinker Henry Thoreau (1817-1862). Accordingly, the Concord Museum along with program partners throughout the community have developed a year-long initiative for 2017, “Be Thoreau,” which encourages us to explore the writer’s work from a historical and contemporary perspective.

This event will take place at the Concord Museum. Free with Museum admission; Concord Museum and DCR Members Free.
