“Clearing Away the Smoke: How to Talk with Teens about Today’s Marijuana”
presented by Dr. Sion Harris. Free and open to all.
Tuesday, December 11th, 7:30 PM Concord-Carlisle High School in auditorium

Offered in collaboration with the CCHS Parents Association.

Ever get stumped when trying to talk with your child about marijuana — yet feel the urgency to give them good guidance — especially since it has been legalized (for adults, anyway)? Today’s teens are exposed to a lot of misinformation on the Internet and social media. Come and learn the facts about today’s marijuana and the risks for adolescents that are grounded in the latest scientific research. This will help you to have more confident and effective conversations about marijuana with your teen.
About our presenter: Dr. Sion Kim Harris is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, and the Director of the Boston Children’s Hospital Center for Adolescent Substance Abuse Research. Dr. Harris will give you the latest science on the teen brain and marijuana … as well as share ways parents can speak with their children. A parent herself, she is passionate about this issue and the health of our youth!
