Mattress fundraiser at CCHS

The CCHS Band will host a mattress fundraiser June 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the CCHS cafeteria. All proceeds of mattress sales go to help support the Scholarship Fund for the 2019 Concert Band Japan Trip. There will be discount prices on name-brand mattresses with free set-up and delivery.

The 70-member CCHS Concert Band will travel to Japan in April 2019 to reaffirm the 20+ year sister-city/sister-state relationship between Concord and Nanae and Massachusetts and Hokkaido, which has benefited both communities in a variety of social and educational ways. The group will perform numerous concerts while in Hokkaido and receive first-hand, hands-on exploration of Japanese society, culture, history and literature. They will do so through the means of cultural immersion, homestays, museum visits and interactive experiences with Japanese students and teachers.
