June 2, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Learn genealogy skills

Claire Smith will discuss vital records—records of births, marriages and deaths of your ancestors, a primary source used to build your family tree. Find out whether vital records were kept, where to find them, how to interpret them and what to do when you are unable find them. Attendees will learn the difference between original records, transcriptions and certified copies and how to decide which is more useful.

This free class will be held at the Gleason Public Library on Saturday, June 2, at 2 p.m. Registration required at gleasonlibrary.org/calendar or 1-978-369-4898.
