Better Sleep Through Mindfulness Practice

Struggling to sleep well? Mindfulness can help! In this session, we’ll explore ways to turn off the ruminating mind and enhance relaxation. Learn how mindful wellness practices engage the parasympathetic nervous system, which cues the body to rest and relax. We’ll consider scientific evidence that shows how over time, mindfulness practice creates structural changes in the brain that reduce stress and enhance overall well-being. Find your personal way to unwind a roving mind, soothe the body (even when experiencing pain), and set yourself up for a great night’s sleep.

The session will be led by Lara Wilson, MA, GCMS, a life-long writer and meditator who recently established a collaborative non-profit mindful wellness space in Concord, Be Well Be Here, where all are invited to explore how mindfulness and the creative process enhance overall well-being.
