The BLS instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. Participants will be trained to promptly recognize life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Students work with an American Heart Association certified instructor to complete BLS skills practice, skills testing and a written exam. This course is appropriate for medical professionals who require CPR certification. A certification card from the American Heart Association will be provided to all who pass the written and hands-on examinations (within 3 weeks of the course date).
