The Concord First Parish Immigration Justice Task Force and the Concord-Carlisle League of Women Voters are sponsoring a program on immigration at which Members of First Parish in Lincoln will share a 20 minute video of their trip to the Arizona-Mexico border in November 2016. The video includes scenes from the trip and interviews after the trip with several participants who talk about their reactions to this experience. The trip was facilitated by the national Unitarian Universalist Service Committee which took the group to an educational facility run by a Tucson organization named Borderlinks. Borderlinks provides help to undocumented immigrants and hosts visiting groups, arranging for them to visit both sides of the border. Following the video there will be opportunity for questions and discussion.
Everyone interested in immigration is welcome to attend.
