2017 Holiday Ball

December 3, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

- Free – $15

This year, the Concord holiday tree lighting festivities are being extended to include live big band music at the town’s beloved Scout House! Bring the whole family to listen or dance to classic Christmas and Swing Era music by the Beantown Swing Orchestra.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students/seniors, and free for kids 12 and under. They are available on the Beantown Swing Orchestra website (www.beantownswing.com). Tickets will also be available at the door and at the tree lighting, unless the event has already sold out.

The Beantown Swing Orchestra is a professional big band that was founded in 2006 by Concord resident Frank Hsieh and is committed to introducing classic 1930s-40s swing music to younger generations. Its musicians are primarily aged 17 to 22. The full 18-piece band used to play monthly dances at the Scout House in 2007-2008. A 9-piece version will perform for this year’s Holiday Ball, featuring CCHS bassist Rebecca Pasley.

The Concord Scout House is an 18th century barn that was restored in 1930 with a stage and large dance floor. It’s a highly appropriate setting for live big band swing music! Please note: parking is NOT allowed in the TriCon church lot, including the area adjacent to the Scout House. Please park on the street, in the municipal lot, or in the TD Bank lot across the street.

Come enjoy some live holiday music and help make this a new tradition!
